The school's guidance program is delivered by

a school counselor. The services provided include: individual and small group counseling, classroom guidance, parent conferences, teacher consultations, and school wide affective education activities that focus on the student development program.

Mission Statement

The Division of Student / Career Services supports the academic, career, and personal/social development of students in Miami-Dade County Public Schools by assisting school personnel, parents/guardians/caregivers, and the community to empower and encourage learners in the achievement of their maximum potential in a safe and effective learning environment.

Goals

To develop the implementation of a Standards-Based Student Career Development Program and the development of school site plans.
To establish a seamless sequential postsecondary planning process using student portfolios.
To strengthen the programs and activities which assist students in making transitions from home to school, from school to school, and from school to their postsecondary endeavors.
To enhance the safety of schools for all students by addressing issues of cross cultural understanding, bullying, harassment, violence, and the use of harmful substances.
